Learn how Artificial Intelligence is reshaping careers, businesses, and everyday life in Nigeria — and how you can be part of it.

So, What Is Artificial Intelligence (AI)?

Artificial Intelligence, or AI, refers to computer systems designed to perform tasks that typically require human intelligence. This includes learning, reasoning, problem-solving, understanding language, and recognizing patterns.

What I think of AI personally is that: this is the next phase of machine - human collaboration, that'll drive us towards a more abundant and efficient world where we can truly create without limits as humans. Do I have concerns? Yes, not with the technology itself but with what unrefined souls can do with it, I don't think AI is 666, Neither do I think it'll get up to take over the world, its already in control, lol.
But these are my opinions on a broader level, ethical practices must be prioritized. But this is about Artificial Intelligence in my country, Nigeria so lets face that.

In Nigeria, AI is no longer a science fiction concept; it's actively transforming sectors like business, healthcare, agriculture, finance, and education.

Why AI Matters in Nigeria

With a population exceeding 200 million and a rapidly growing tech-savvy youth demographic, Nigeria stands at the forefront of AI adoption in Africa.
With over 50million small businesses, we see a rise in the use of AI systems, The business sector - especially amongst SMEs and MSMEs - we see a rise in adoption. People are actively using AI for content creation, marketing, education, healthcare just to mention a few.
So many Nigerians are not only using but building this new Technology.

Government initiatives, such as the establishment of the National Centre for Artificial Intelligence and Robotics (NCAIR) and the development of a National AI Policy by the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), shows the country's commitment to AI advancement.
